1941Snapper (N39)HMS Snapper sailed from the Clyde to patrol in the Bay of Biscay off Ushant. She was not heard from again. It is possible that she fell victem to German minefield.

However it is also possible that she was sunk by German warships since a submarine attacked the German minesweepers M-2, M-13 and M-25 on the night of the 10/11th February in the area where Snapper might have been. The submarine was subjected to a counterattack in which 56 depth charges were dropped
1941Truant (N68)HMS Truant attacks the Italian merchant Bainsizza with gunfire about 45 nautical miles north-north-west of Tripoli, Libya. The target was not hit and Truant was forced to dive by the escort. HMS Truant attacked again with 3 torpedoes about 60 nautical miles north-north-west of Tripoli, Libya. All torpedoes missed.
